Conservation
Conserving our natural environment and marine life through community clean up events.
Awareness
Connecting with the community, educating and raising awareness about the negative impacts of littering and plastic pollution on our natural environment and marine life through their participation in our clean ups and other events.
DATA COLLECTION
Collecting data about litter collected at our clean up events and inputting data into an approppriate database such as the Tangaroa Blue Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) to assist with source reduction initiatives and campaigns.
Education
Engaging, inspiring and educating the community on ways they can reduce waste by following the sustainability principles including Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink, Rot and Retrieve.
Connection
Working in partnership with other related community groups to advance these objects.
Our Clean Ups
Every year 8 million tonnes of plastic waste is dumped into our oceans and over 100,000 marine animals and 1 million sea birds are harmed or killed by plastic pollution from entanglement and plastic ingestion. Based in Mandurah, Western Australia we are a community group with a mission to help keep our ocean & waterways clean. We are supporters of the Tangaroa Blue Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) Database. Data of litter collected at our clean ups is input into the AMDI to not only measure our impact but also supports source reduction initiatives and campaigns at a local, state and national levels.
Our clean up events are free and open to all ages. We are a diverse group attracting community members of all ages from families with children to seniors even students wanting to contribute their volunteer service hours. The duration is only two hours making it the perfect activity to get outdoors, connect with your environment and local community taking positive action.
